🔍 Test Parameters
- Location: Suburban open-sky area with moderate tree cover
- Base Station: Local NTRIP caster
- Rover Protocol: NTRIP (RTCM 3.x)
- Mount: Tripod with tribrach (1.80 m height)
- Observation Time: 5 minutes per receiver per point
We measured 5 known points and compared:

🔧 Notes on Each Receiver
📡 Trimble R8 Model 3
Still a favorite for its rock-solid fix and rugged build. May need configuration tools for NTRIP setup but integrates well with Trimble Access or SurvCE.
📡 Topcon Hiper V
Very reliable in RTK work, even in tree-lined environments. Slightly longer fix time but maintains high stability once locked.
📡 Leica GS14
Fastest fix time and excellent accuracy. Requires Leica software for full configuration but integrates well with NTRIP and Android via Bluetooth.
📡 Emlid Reach RS2
Best value in modern entry-level receivers. Good accuracy and user-friendly interface, though fix time was slightly slower under partial canopy.
